Step by step in Squarespace

1. Open the product
   Edit the product in Commerce or on the store page.
2. Add a code block
   Add a code block in the additional information section.
3. Paste the code
   Paste the widget code, leave “Display Source” switched off and save.
4. Load the script centrally
   You can also load the line with widget.js once via the store page’s Code Injection. The placeholder still has to be in every product.

Things to know about Squarespace

• JavaScript in code blocks runs on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans and on the older Business, Commerce Basic and Commerce Advanced plans, not on Basic or Personal.
• Code blocks do not always run in the editor preview; check the live page.

Legal guarantee notice in the order confirmation

According to the Commission’s guidelines, the notice should also appear in the confirmation email. In Squarespace, you customise the order confirmation in the Commerce settings under customer emails. The official graphic can be added there as an image. A plain link is unlikely to count as a durable medium (CJEU, Case C-49/11, Content Services); the safest way is to put the notice directly in the email as an image, text or attachment.
