Questions about the app
Does the app show the European Commission’s official graphic?
Yes. The app uses the Commission’s original files unchanged, in all 24 official EU languages. For the GARAN label it fills in only the three permitted fields: years, brand and model identifier.
Does the app work with my theme?
Yes, with Online Store 2.0 themes such as Dawn and Horizon, with common premium themes and with custom Liquid themes. Headless shops (such as Hydrogen) are not supported. Where automatic placement does not fit, you place the block by drag and drop. We help you with the setup personally.
Does the app show the GARAN label at checkout?
No. The app shows the GARAN label on the product page and next to the item in the cart. It does not add it to the pages of Shopify checkout. Whether the cart meets the requirement to show the GARAN information directly before the consumer places the order (Article 8(2) of Directive 2011/83/EU, as amended by Directive (EU) 2024/825) has not been settled yet. Does the app affect my buy button or checkout?
No. The notice sits next to the buy button and the cart but does not change them. Every day we check automatically that the notice and the cart work in our customers’ shops.
Is there a product limit?
No. The legal guarantee notice covers your whole catalogue on every plan. Essential includes one GARAN label, Pro and above an unlimited number.
Does the app load data from third-party servers?
No. The graphics are stored in your own Shopify files. The app sets no cookies and reads no customer data.
