Technical detection, not a legal assessment. We read the HTML code your server delivers. We do not always see content that is loaded later by JavaScript. “Not found” therefore means: please check for yourself. We cannot check the order confirmation from the outside.

What the check does not replace
The shop check is a quick technical test, not legal advice. It sees one page, not your whole shop. Also check whether the notice is visible in the cart or before the purchase, and whether the order confirmation contains it. See where the notice belongs and what belongs in the order confirmation.
Data protection
We fetch the page you enter once, analyse it and discard the content immediately. All we store is a counter to prevent abuse. The check is limited to public web pages and to ten pages per hour.
Frequently asked questions
What does the shop check cost?
Nothing, and you do not need an account.
The check doesn’t find my notice, even though it is there. Why?
Some shops load content later in the browser using JavaScript. The check does not always see this content. If you can see the notice on the page, it is there. With our Shopify app or the widget, the check detects it reliably.
Do I have to check every product page?
The legal guarantee notice is usually part of the theme and therefore the same on all product pages. The GARAN label depends on the individual product. So check products with a producer guarantee in particular.
Does a green result mean I am legally on the safe side?
No. The check shows whether the elements are technically present on the page. Whether placement, size and order confirmation are right is explained in our guides.
