In JTL-Shop 5, you add the legal guarantee notice for all items via the child template of the item detail page. For individual items, the OnPage Composer with a text portlet in source code view also works.

Step by step in JTL-Shop
- Use a child template
Changes belong in a child template (for NOVA: NOVAChild) so that updates do not overwrite them. - Extend the template
In the child template, extend the template of the item detail page and place the widget code below the add-to-basket button. It then applies to all items. - Single item
For one item only: in the OnPage Composer, drag a text portlet below the add-to-basket button and paste the code in source code view. The OnPage Composer edits each page separately. - Check
Clear the cache or publish the draft and check an item.
Things to know about JTL-Shop
- Without the OnPage Composer (JTL-Shop 4), paste the code into the template of the item detail page.
- If minify is active in the template,
widget.jsmust not be processed with it; it loads directly from garantielabel.app.
Legal guarantee notice in the order confirmation
According to the Commission’s guidelines, the notice should also appear in the confirmation email. You maintain the email templates in the JTL-Shop back end under the email templates. The official graphic can be added as an image to the order confirmation. A plain link is unlikely to count as a durable medium (CJEU, Case C-49/11, Content Services); the safest way is to put the notice directly in the email as an image, text or attachment. Frequently asked questions
Does this work with JTL-Wawi data?
Yes. If you maintain the addresses of the GARAN labels as an item attribute and output them in the template in data-garan-voll and data-garan-klein, each item shows the matching label.
Do I need a plugin?
No. The child template is enough. An HTML portlet is only available as a plugin from the Extension Store, and you do not need it.
Will updates overwrite it?
No, if the change is in the child template. Content from the OnPage Composer is also kept.
